Nicholas Steven Schoening, 46, of Batavia, Ohio, died Friday, July 12, 2013, at Jewish Hospital, Cincinnati. He was an art teacher at Campbell County High School, and he formerly taught at Glen Este Middle School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Margaret Schoening; and his brother, Teddy Schoening. Survivors include his wife Kelly (Guilfoyle) Schoening; children, Meghan and Brendan Schoening, of Batavia; sisters, Janet Stoneking of Danville, Indiana, Julie Griffin of Avon, Indiana; brother, Kurt Schoening of Danville, IN, Eric Schoening of Wabash, IN, and Jon Schoening of Indianapolis; also survived by 23 nieces and nephews and one great-niece and one great-nephew. Visitation 4 to 7p.m. on Friday, July, 19th at St. Veronica Church, 4473 Mt. Carmel Tobasco Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45244, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 7p.m. A reception will follow the Mass at St. Veronica School. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made payable to Kelleene Schoening, for the Meghan and Brendan Schoening Scholarship Fund, c/o of any branch location of Huntington Bank.
