William “Bill” Blick, 85, born March 18, 1932. Beloved husband of Sharon Collins Blick, father of Kenneth Blick and daughter-in-law Mary Kay Blick of Burlington, KY, father of Martin Blick and daughter-in-law Ruth Blick of Houston, TX, brother of Nancy Cooke, Grandfather of Justin Blick, Kelly Ernst, Sara Swafford, Rebecca Blick, Scott Blick and Kevin Blick. Great-grandfather of Ian, Violet, Kasie, Wyland, Alicia, Sonny, Nolan, Sean and Eve. Preceded in death by his brothers Ollie and Jim Blick, and parents Oliver and Katherine Blick. Bill was born in Covington, KY and graduated from Holmes High School in 1951. He played varsity football and was the captain of the football team in 1951 and won a scholarship to University of Cincinnati where he played freshman football before joining the Air Force during the Korean War. He married Sharon, his high school sweetheart in 1951 and they have been married 66 years. He served in Strategic Air Command in Anchorage Alaska as a photo interpreter for spy plane missions, leaving the service in 1955 as a staff sergeant. He worked as a supervisor at Ford Motor Company in Sharonville, OH for 30 years. After retiring he and Sharon moved to Perry Park, KY where he enjoyed playing golf which he loved. In 2000 they moved to Venice, FL and lived there for 12 years, moving back to Burlington, KY in 2012 to be closer to family. Bill was a Kentucky Colonel and an active member of Mt. Healthy Christian Church for many years and most recently a member of Florence United Methodist Church. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 at Linnemann Funeral Home and Event Center in Burlington, KY. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held after the memorial visitation at 11:00 AM at Linnemann Funeral Home and Event Center in Burlington, KY. Final resting place be at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
