Steven Adrian Thompson

High school football mate, roommate, and brother from another mother. We shared so many good times, as we began our journey into adulthood, after graduating high school. He was something like a big brother, introducing me to his friends , a new diverse social network, and getting me my first real job. Though I moved away more than 35 years ago, we kept in touch and I always met him when I returned home to visit. He truly was one of the best people I’ve ever known. A beautiful spirit, with a heart of gold. Rest In Peace brother.

Ayub (Yubi)

Steve was a big man with a big heart and a smile to match. We worked with Steve at ADP in the 80’s and early 90s. He was always smiling and easy to get along with we had many laughs and he had an infectious smile. He was extremely trusting.
I remember one time he was complaining about his beard not filling out the way he wanted. Someone told him to put peanut butter on his face at night. Evidently he tried it but was not seeing results and when he asked them about it they wanted to know what brand and if it was creamy or chunky peanut butter. The person swore it worked for them.
The Moonpie nickname was a result of vending machine fare. The vending machines at 7th St had moonpies. Not just any moonpie, but a double moonpie. Someone bet him he couldn’t eat it in one bite. He won the bet and earned the nickname.
Over the years you just lose touch, but the fond memories mean that person made a lasting impression. I hope to make the visitation in person but in case I do not, our condolences to his family and friends, we know he will be missed.

I met Steve while working with him from ADP
All of the individuals from ADP were not only co-workers we were family and there’s nothing like that
. He was taken too soon away from us I loved when we had year end parties got together at my house with al Sheryl and Suzanne His smile and laugh were contagious I used to call him Moonpie.
My deepest sympathy to Steve’s family

You have accomplished many good things in life. You worked hard and always followed the path of honesty. You sleep well, my friend. God has a beautiful reward for you!

Steve was like a big brother to me when we worked at ADP together. I loved to pester him so I could hear his contagious laugh!!! I also remember riding TOSRV, a 200 mile bike ride with him. We trained for it for months in advance. My heart is hurting so much today. Love. Kathy.

I worked with Steve for many years at ADP and became good friends. We had so many good times and I can say he was one of the nicest, kindest men I knew. He was such a down to earth person snd will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family.
