Condolences

Eugene “Gene” “Bud” Wagner, 78, of Covington, KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Boonespring Care Center in Union, KY. He was born December 29, 1942 in Covington, KY to the late Philip and Elizabeth Wagner. Gene proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Gene attended St. Benedict for grade school and graduated from Newport Catholic High School in 1960.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: John Wagner, Richard Wagner, Robert Wagner, Howard Wagner, and his sister, Eleanor Overwine. Gene is survived by his loving  children: Nicole (Tom) Massey, and Matthew Wagner, his beloved grandchildren: Olivia Massey, Scarlett Massey, Gavin Wagner, and William Massey, his dear brother: Phillip (Carol) Wagner, and his former wife and dear friend: Christine Wagner.

A visitation will be held for Gene on Monday, September 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at All Saints Catholic Church, 62 Needmore St, Walton, KY 41094. Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following at 12:00 PM at the Church. Following Mass, Gene will be laid to rest at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY.
