Sr. Rose Rauen, OSB died peacefully on Thursday, October 28 at St. Walburg Monastery at the age of 92. A Benedictine sister for over 72 years, Sr. Rose Rauen served as a teacher at St. Henry High School, associate professor, Chair of Math Dept and member of various committees at Villa Madonna College/Thomas More College (now Thomas More University), involved in Charismatic Prayer Movement, Co-director for RENEW and Diocesan Coordinator for Ongoing Renewal and Evangelization and member of numerous committees for Diocese of Covington, pastoral minister at St. Agnes Parish, secretary and treasurer of St Walburg Monastery.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Rose Gripshover Rauen and sisters Rose Mary Gray and Ruth Richardson. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, friends and her Benedictine community. Vigil on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 7:00 pm, Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, November 3 at 5:00 pm, burial on Thursday, November 4 at 9:00 am. Due to COVID precautions only family members may attend and must be fully vaccinated and wear masks. All Services will be held at St. Walburg Monastery.
