Condolences

Doreen “Dorie” Marie Hayes, 57, of Burlington KY, passed unexpectedly on October 30, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood KY. In addition to being an educator to her three children, Dorie was a registered nurse for 30 years, most notably caring for patients at St. Elizabeth Hospitals. Dorie, a member of Hebron Lutheran Church, was happiest spending time with her family. She was also an avid crocheter, home cook, reader, traveler, and dog mom, often accompanied by her favorite country music.

Dorie was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Dee Pressley; her parent-in-laws Bill and Betty Hayes; and her sister-in-laws Jane Wenzel and Margaret Hayes.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Doug Hayes; her children Liam Hayes, Brianna (Roger) Noble, and Nick Hayes; and her sister Debbie (Dan) Julian.

Dorie also leaves behind her nephews Bill (Claire) Julian, Tim (Becky Conners) Julian, and Seth (Ari) Julian; and her grandnephew Levi Julian, and grandniece Elizabeth Julian.

A visitation for Dorie will be on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 11:00AM-1:00PM at Hebron Lutheran Church in Hebron, KY. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:00PM at the church.

Wonderful nurse, and mentor for new graduate nurses

Always enjoyed working with Dorie, could always count on her in a crisis, she was part of the team. She had a calm gentle way caring for patients. May she RIP, prayers for Dorie and her Family.
