Michael T. Mackzum, 65, died April 2, 2016 of melanoma. He is survived by his beloved partner Robert Seibert. Michael was predeceased by his parents Dolores (Arlinghaus) Mackzum and Eugene R. Mackzum. His siblings Tony Mackzum (Jane Curtis) and Mary Mackzum (Ralph Blake) will miss him immeasurably.
Michael was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, University of Cincinnati (B.B.A.) and Xavier University (M.B.A.) For many years he was a security guard and used his off-time to read voraciously. Michael was a decades-long subscriber to the Cincinnati Opera, Symphony, Ballet, and Shakespeare Company. He was also a frequent visitor to the Taft and Cincinnati Art Museums. He also found many friendships with the Prime Timers group.
n keeping with Michael’s wishes, his body is being donated for medical science and there will be no services. Anyone wishing to honor Michael’s memory might consider a gift to an arts organization.
As we have so loved him, Michael will be in our hearts forever.
