Tributes
Joseph John Balasa Jr., 84, died April 23, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. Joe retired from Frisch’s Corporation, where he served as the Vice President of Data and Information Services. He also volunteered at Northern Kentucky Senior Services and he was a longtime member of Mother of God Catholic Church in Covington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Balasa, and his parents, Mary and Joseph Balasa Sr. Survivors include his children: David Balasa of Ft. Mitchell, Mark Balasa of Taylor Mill, Margaret (Tim) Frodge Dressman of Springboro, OH, Jane (Greg) Schulte of Union, and Ann (Martin) Wolf of Edgewood; his sisters, Tillie Sowders of Danville, KY, and Janet Jehn of Taylor Mill. Joe also leaves his 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday April 30, 2016 from 10:30AM-12:00PM at Mother of God Catholic Church in Covington. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 12:00PM. Burial will be private at St. Mary Cemetery. Online condolences to: www.linnemannfuneralhomes.com.
