Condolences

Gary Floyd Decious, 80 of Burlington, previously Monticello, Kentucky, passed away at his grandson Mickeal home on June 2, 2022. Gary was born on September 22, 1941 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the late Floyd and Myra Jane Decious. When he was young, Gary enjoyed playing baseball and basketball,  which led to his support of the Chicago Cubs and UK Basketball. He also was an avid golfer and had served as the president for Future Farmers of America. Gary was the proud owner of Coast to Coast Hardware and Decious Glass and Mirror.

Gary is survived by his wife of 62 years: Sharon Decious (Dungey), son: Jeff (Deidre) Decious, grandsons and caretaker: Mickeal Decious, grandson: Jonathan Decious, and brother: Wayne Decious. He was preceded in death by his parents and son: Will Decious.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 from 1:30 to 2:00 pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington. Funeral Services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be sent to Wayne County Humane Society (PO Box 1400 Monticello, Kentucky, 42633). Gary will be laid to rest next to his son Will at Hawkeye Cemetery, Fayette County, Iowa.
