Evalene M, Phelps, age 89, entered eternal life on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence
KY. She was a long time resident of Norwood, Ohio and more recently lived in Florence and Erlanger, KY. She was a devoted Christian and member of Greenview Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She is survived by her son David Phelps (Ginger) of Jefferson City, MO; 2 daughters Charlotte Ploetner (Billy) of Bagdad, KY and Beverly Simon (William) of Florence, KY. Evalene was the loving grandmother of Martin Ploetner (Sara), Todd Ploetner (Amber), Major Wm. Kyle Simon, Kent Simon (Emily), Samuel Phelps (Lauren) and Benjamin Phelps; and the great grandmother of Andrew Ploetner, Patrick Ploetner, Lydia Simon and Miles Simon. She was also sister to John Meece of Jacksonville, FL, Loretha Colyer of Somerset, KY, Elnora Meece (Ray) of Somerset, KY, Gordon Meece of Somerset, KY, FL, Iva Dean Dykes (Gordon) of West Chester, OH, Ronald Meece (Mahala Jane) of Science Hill, KY, Clifford Meece of Somerset, KY. She was preceded in death by her father William E. Meece and mother Dora Sears Meece, her loving husband Robert S. Phelps, and brothers William Dewey Meece and Raymond (RJ Meece).Visitation will be Thursday, May 12th, 2 P.M. – 4 P.M. at Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Event Center, Burlington, KY followed by a funeral service at 4 P.M. Friday, May 13th, there will be a visitation from 1-1:30 P.M. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3269 Poplarville Rd, Hail Ky 42501 with a memorial service from 1:30 -2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Mt.
