Rita M. Behler, 92, passed away Friday May 6, 2016 at St Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood. Rita was a long time resident of Erlanger and an active member of St Henry Church in Elsmere. She loved to travel, sew, and work in her garden. She also volunteered at Welcome House and Erlanger United Ministries. In her later years she became an avid reader, especially of Christian novels. She worked as a bookkeeper until she married Joe, her husband of 53 years. Since then her passion centered on her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Catherine ( Wolf) and John Waginger, beloved husband Joseph T. Behler, and infant son Anthony Behler. Survivors include her daughter Mary Jo (Joe) Cleves of Villa Hills, son Joe (Jenny Panzeca) Behler of Cincinnati, son Greg (Melissa) Behler of Erlanger, daughter Martha (Vince) Bohman of Erlanger and sister Mary Ann Acree of Erlanger. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday May 11, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday May 12, 2016 at 10am at St Henry Church in Elsmere. Burial will be at St Mary Cemetery in Ft Mitchell. Memorials may be made to St Henry Church 3813 Dixie Hwy Erlanger KY 41018 or Erlanger United Ministries 525 Graves Ave Erlanger KY 41018.
