Condolences

Karen Sue Lawson (nee Clemons), 65, of Walton, KY, formerly of Ft. Mitchell, KY, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY, after a courageous battle with kidney disease. She worked as bookkeeper for Boone/Kenton Lumber for over 20 years and she also drove a school bus for Kenton County Schools for 10 years. She will be remembered as a nurturer and caretaker.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, reading, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Gorman Lawson.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Amy (Mark) Rider, Stacey (Dan) Russell, and Chrissy Marzano; and her brother, Doug (Linda) Clemons.

She also will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Markie (Brittany) Rider, Grace Russell, Jax Marzano, and Emma Russel; and her great-granddaughter, Tatum Rider.

A visitation for Karen will be on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 11:30AM-1:30PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, KY. An informal service will follow the visitation at 1:30PM at the funeral home. Following the informal service, she will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
