Virginia Louise “Snookie” Schneeman (nee Crowell), 96, passed away at her residence in Florence, on Saturday, March 5, 2016. Snookie was born at her home, in Erlanger, on September 15, 1919. She was the youngest and last surviving of 8 siblings, including her twin sister, and two half siblings. Snookie was known for being a wonderful and loving person, and loved her pets. During her life, the family would attend many events for those with special needs. Snookie also cared for her sister that was stricken by polio as a child. She was the oldest living member of Erlanger Baptist Church, and lifelong member. She is survived by her children: Karen Elkins of Florence, KY, Gail Schneeman of Lexington, KY, Patti Schneeman of Aurora, IN, and Richard Schneeman of Fayetteville, GA, grandchildren Richard Elkins, Elizabeth Baker, and Mackenzie Schneeman, and great grandchildren Colton Elkins, Alivia Hollquist, Owen Baker, Averi Elkins, Luke Baker, and Nora Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard F. Schneeman and great granddaughter Madyson Elkins. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at Erlanger Baptist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
