Todd Cardwell

Obituary
Condolences

Lindsay “Todd” Cardwell, 60, of Erlanger KY, passed away peacefully with his family and friends by his side at his residence, on Sunday September 25, 2022.  He was born in Covington, KY on July 18, 1962, to the late Lindsay and Mayme nee Rogers.

Todd grew up in Erlanger, KY and was a 1980 graduate of Lloyd High School.  He enjoyed playing cards and riding his motorcycle, especially on trips out west.  Todd loved sports and watching his UK Wildcats.  He had a great sense of humor always making people laugh. When it came to his political views and pro-life stance, Todd’s belief system was unwavering.  Todd’s pride and joy were his two sons, Todd Jr., and Dylan.  He loved them beyond measure and was always so proud of them. Todd, Jr., Dylan, and his only grandchild, Ryder were his life. Although Todd enjoyed many things, his greatest accomplishment and desire in life was his family.  He was a selfless man who would do anything for his family. He was a father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left to carry on Todd’s legacy are his two sons, Lindsay Todd Cardwell Jr., and Dylan Michael Cardwell; grandson, Ryder Lee Young; sisters, Dixie (Mike) Cochran, Laura Cardwell; brother, Greg Cardwell; brother-in-law, Jerry Sears; his favorite niece, Holly Sipple; favorite nephew, Kevin Sears and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. Todd also leaves behind his best friend and black Labrador Retriever, Buddy.

Todd is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Candice Sears.

A gathering of friends and family to celebrate Todd’s life will be on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Linnemann Funeral Home 30 Commonwealth Ave Erlanger, KY 41018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a memorial service immediately following at 12:00 PM.

My heart goes out to the Cardwell family

I had many great times with Todd over the years. He holds a special place in my heart. I know he was a good man, husband, and father. He will be missed by so many. I know he will be cheering on the “Big Blue” from above. My thoughts and prayers are with the Cardwell family.
With my deepest sympathy, Mike Mayhew

A great friend

I still can’t believe that you have passed. I will miss your humor and good nature. I am happy to have had you as a dear friend. Until we meet again.

Like a little brother

I loved todd so much. He was Mark’s best friend and another little brother to me. I have many great memories of todd. When they were growing we loved going to the drive in to see triple feature movies of Bruce Lee. Mark would fall asleep in the back seat and Todd would get in front seat with me and we would snack and watch the movies. I loved hauling their baseball team around during little league. After mark died Todd and I became even closer. We would call or text monthly. I called him Jose since little league after a favorite baseball player of his. We had so many good talks. RIP Jose. I know you and Mark are having a beer, watching UK and riding your bikes through heaven. Take care until until I get there to keep u guys in line. I LOVE YOU

Our sympathies on your loss

To all the Cardwell family, we were so sorry to hear of Todd’s passing. With deepest sympathies, from the Hembrees, Judy, Mary and Bob.

When you lose a loved one

My condolences to the family. When losing a loved one it can be unbearable. In the Bible book of Isaiah 25:8 Jehovah God promises soon to “swallow up death forever.” He also promises to bring back those who have fallen asleep in death (Acts 24:15). In a little while longer this kind of pain will be a thing of the past (Revelations 21:4). May these scriptures bring you comfort in this difficult time (jw.org)
