Rev. Charles L. Martin, 66, passed away Sunday November 27, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital
in Florence, KY.
Charlie served as a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) pastor for 35 years, spending the
majority of his career at Erlanger Christian Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family
and was an avid University of Alabama football fan. Charlie loved dogs, sports, and making
people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Marie Martin. Survivors include his wife of
34 years Jennifer Martin, daughter Emily (Erik) Martin, son Daniel (Meredith) Martin, and sisters
Martha Martin, Anna Gayle (Harris) Parke, and Patti (Ed) Kaeding.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday December 3, 2022, from 10am to 12pm, with
services to follow, at Erlanger Christian Church (27 Graves Ave, Erlanger, KY 41018).
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Erlanger Christian Church Memorial Fund.

A True Man of God
Charlie was a truly fine minister, and a great friend. His passing comes too soon! To Jennifer, Emily, and Daniel, we are so very sorry for your loss. We will cherish his memory always. – Dave and Vicki Carr

So very sad at the passing of this caring man who led so many young people to practice Christianity in the very best sense. Wonderful memories
We were so blessed to have have known Charlie when he served in Kansas City at Hickman Mills Community Christion Church, he was very influential in our boy’s development. Fond Memories
I have such fond memories of Charlie from many years ago. He was my minister at Hickman Mills Community Christian Church in KCMO for many years. He officiated our wedding nearly 31 years ago and was a dear friend. Condolences to his family and loved ones. May memories keep him close to your hearts.

To Charlie’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. Charlie was one of my heroes, always cheerful, ready to help anyone. He was always kind and ready to go the extra mile for anyone who needed him. I am glad to have known him.
Best Minister Ever
Charlie was my youth minister back in the early 1990’s in Kansas City. He created the Hickman Mills Community Christian Church Images Clown Ministry Troupe. Let me tell all of you, he changed our lives. He created an opportunity for all of us teens to spread Gods love to so many. We performed a Christian musical geared toward teen issues dressed as clowns and toured the US each summer with a different destination each year. We sang at churches, nursing homes and played with children in homes for the neglected and abused.
He taught us how to be proud of ourselves, how to stand up for what was right and they in our own ways we could change our world.
I talk about all of my memories to this day and enjoy the friendships I still have with some.
God blessed you Charlie Martin. Forever in our hearts just clowning around….

Sympathy
I can’t think of my days at PU without thinking of Charlie. He loved to hold court at EBD and make everyone laugh. He was so proud of his little blue Volkswagen, Camelot and of course, his Alabama football team. He was a blessings to so many. I know he left his family with lots of great memories. Hold those tightly and talk of him often.
