Roland Bosse, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Coldspring Transitional Care Center in Coldspring, KY. He was the son of the late Nikolaus and Jenny Knabe Bosse, born in Elgersburg, Germany on August 2, 1932.
Roland grew up in Romania and was brought to the New York Harbor in August of 1952 by the United States government. Sergeant Roland Bosse served in the Korean war from 1953-1955 and was awarded many awards for the service of his country. He was employed by Schindler Elevator Corporation formally known as Westinghouse for over 30 years as an Engineer. He was a great athlete who enjoyed swimming, watching soccer, but most of all playing golf. Roland was the life of the party who enjoyed joking and dancing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Loretta Santore was the love of his life who he was married to for 57 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Loretta, brother, Manfred Wolfgang Nikolaus Bosse.
He is survived by sister-in-law, Alice Sue Bosse; nieces, Susanne Bosse-Hemingway (Mike), Lorilee Bosse, Debbie Bosse-Dudley (Rick); nephew Bob Santore; Robin Santore; great nephews and nieces, Hunter Kerzee, Dominic Santore, Amanda Nonnenberg (Shane), Christian Knappins, Logan Dudley (Tabitha Lattie), Michael Hemingway, Nixon Hemingway (Chris Huerta), Kasey Hemingway, Taylor Hemingway; and several great-great nephews, Aiden Weeks-Barnitt, Austin Dudley; and several other extended family members and friends.

Services for Roland will be handled in private at the convenience of his family.
