Charles “Charlie” S. Jenkins, 68, passed away on January 5, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Charlie was a Staff Sergeant in the Army Reserve, a teacher and track coach at Holmes High School, and a project manager for First Group, Fidelity Investments, and Convergys. He also was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Lakeside Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Grace Jenkins. He was loved by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Jenkins (nee Lawson) of Edgewood, KY; so proud of his sons, Darren (Clara) Jenkins of Naperville, IL, and Todd (Crystal) Jenkins of Union, KY; and he cherished his grandchildren: Luke, Sam, Vera, Carson, and Audrey. He also leaves behind his brothers, Bob (Barbara) Jenkins of Crestview Hills, KY and Jim (Judy) Jenkins of Park Hills, KY. Visitation will be on Saturday January 9, 2016 from 10:00AM-12:30PM at Lakeside Christian Church in Lakeside Park, KY. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:30PM at the church.
