Raymond R. Ashcraft Sr., 82, passed away on December 26, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. Ray was an attorney for Cincinnati Gas and Electric for 37years (now known as Duke Energy), he was Senior Counsel for Cincinnati Gas and Electric, graduated from Berea College with a Geology degree in 1956 and Chase College of Law in 1970, and he was a member of the Ohio, Kentucky, Cincinnati, and Northern Kentucky Bar Association. He also was a Kentucky Colonel, an Army veteran, a member of the American Planning Association, Tadmor Masonic Lodge 108, Florence Board of Adjustments, and a member of the Warsaw Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Thelma Ashcraft, and his daughter, Janet Renee Ashcraft Phelps. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Vista Casada Ashcraft of Union, and his son, Rusty (Jennifer) Ashcraft Jr. of Frankfort. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Russell , Sarah, Nicholas, Lane, and Taylor; and great-grandchildren: Marrisa and Evelyn. Graveside services will be held privately.
