“Elvis” William Timothy Shrader

Obituary
Condolences

William Timothy Shrader, also known as “Elvis,” was born on June 5, 1946, in Stephons, West Virginia. He peacefully passed away at 1:35pm on June 29, 2023, in Florence, KY at the age of 77 years old.

William began his career as a Union Boilermaker, which took him all around the United States. In 1979, he settled in Florence, Kentucky, where he changed careers and became a member of Lexington Local 452 Pipefitters and Plumbers.

Outside of work, Elvis cherished spending time with his family. They had a special tradition of having Family Dinner every Wednesday night, which brought them closer together. He also enjoyed going to Camp-Turn-A-Bout, where he could relax and spend time with his many friends around the campfire. Additionally, he was a familiar face at the American Legion in Florence, Kentucky, where he would socialize with even more friends. At the Legion, he loved playing pool and singing karaoke.

Those who knew Tim will always remember his deep admiration for Elvis Presley and Muhammad Ali. These two icons had a significant impact on his life and brought him joy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Shrader, his daughters Debbie Addington and Bobby Jo Mayo, his sons Tim “Rowdy” Shrader and Ali Shrader, as well as his grandchildren Derek and Samantha Addington, Ariel Shrader, and eight others. He also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren. He will be joining his parents, Myrtle and Hobert Shrader, siblings Junior, Ruth, Ruby, Etta, Jean, children Lori and Tommy, grandchild Avery Shrader, brother-in-law Bobby Pierson, and some of his greatest friends Dale, Chuck, and Ray.

A visitation will be held for Tim on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005 with a service to immediately follow and then will be transported to Forest Lawn where he will be transferred into a mausoleum.
