Prayers and Comfort

Sending Prayers to the Family! I am a good friend of Lisa’s, and I am Kari’s auntie. I never met Gerri, but I felt like I knew her, through her two daughters Kari and Lisa who are the sweetest ladies to know, if you are in need, they will do anything to help you. I believe they got that from Gerri, one time when she wasn’t feeling good, I remember sending Gerri some Blessed Oil and she sent me the most beautiful thank you card.
Love Aunt Blenda – Blessings and Favors surround all of you today and forever!

Mick, Lori, Lisa, Kari and Tony

I am so so sorry for your loss. There are no words to convey how sad this is.
Your wife and mom had a huge heart, loads of kindness and love to share with everyone she met. She will certainly be missed by many. Our Bunco days together were so much fun and then Thursday morning coffee at her home or mine took place every week. What wonderful conversations we had while our children played. Something that sticks in my mind and I have told the story many times was about a quarter.
My youngest son Lance had terrible warts all over his hands and he was only 4 and had them since he was two, they were so bad you didn’t even want to hold hands with him. One day having coffee I mentioned to Gerri about the warts and she said I can fix that. She reached in her purse, took out a quarter and handed it to Lance and said it was a magical quarter and if he kept it close to him or in his room and never lost it his warts would disappear. Well I still have a hard time believing it but within a week his warts were gone, after all those years. Seriously! It amazes me every time I think of it. I don’t know if you knew it but she was Lance’s godmother. I was very sad when she told me she was moving because your dad was being transferred. What a great friend to me she was. May the sorrow you feel in your heart be lightened by the love that surrounds all of you. Always reflect on the good times you have shared because as long as she lives in pleasant memories, she never really dies. I am so very sorry I cannot be there but know that my heart is and I will be thinking of all of you and sending prayers on July 11th, especially you Mick who lost the love of your life.
Stay close to each other that’s where you will find an abundance of love. ❤️Janine

Memories

We are so sorry we can not make it to the funeral. Our hearts are heavy, she was a great lady. I have one story I want to remind you of. We came down with all the kids and we went to King’s Island. Gerri told me she did not ride roller coasters, but I talked her into riding the “Beast”. When she got off, she came right up to me, and said “ dam you Debbie”. I responded with what’s wrong, you didn’t like it, and she answered “no I loved it, let’s go again”. We will miss her .

Prayers

Mick, Lori, Lisa, Tony and Kari,
Prayers to all of you in the loss of Gerri. I have many fond memories when Gerri and my mom would hang out at functions. They were a bit crazy. Hugs and love to you all and your families. Teri (Konkle) Face
