Chase Thomas Fischer

My dearest condolences. I was the Director at the Boys and Girls Club when Chase volunteered. He was always willing to dive into any situation whether it was outside play or study time. And he just rolled with it and kept calm despite the chaos and noise that sometimes comes with groups of small children. Chase was an asset to our Club environment and I was openly sad when he left us following graduation. I was excited to hear more about his future success through other Fischer family volunteers. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of both boys but hope the knowledge of the impact Chase made in his young life carries you through.

Greg and Amy,
Cole & Chase are two of the several grandchildren that will be missed by the Grandparents, Parents and the rest of the family. When I stopped at Big Tony’s & Pam’s home off and on I may or may not see the boys. Big Tony, George to me, as we always shared medical info as we both had medical issues and about Ludlow issues. He would talk about the boys and Izzy after they had been at his family together dinner or a holiday get-together.
At any rate you could tell he & Pam loved the grandkids.
The next several years will be hard on the entire family. I know what it’s like as I lost my 50-year-old son 8 years ago.

I was lucky to grow up as neighbors to the Adams. As a teen at the time, I fondly remember Big Tony walking Chase up and down the street in his arms as a baby & toddler, explaining and talking to him about everything they saw. At the time I was touched by this routine they had, grandfather & grandson on their walks. It was comforting seeing how much pride Big Tony & Pam had in being grandparents. As the years went on watching as more grandkids came along into the Adams family, their pride and love only grew. Nearly every week, as they played in the front yards, I would instantly smile seeing a family with so much love for one another. Noticing how tall Chase was getting year after year, I couldn’t help think about how big tony once carried him up and down the street, now he was taller than them all. As a neighbor, watching Chase and Cole grow was a joy, watching the love the entire family has for one another is admirable. I will continue to pray for them, and strive to be more like them everyday.

As a mom who lost a child to traumatic death, I’ve been thinking of and praying for your extended family since hearing of your tragedy. I am 19 years out, and I promise it won’t always feel this way. Please feel free to reach out any time. [email protected]

Dear Fischer Family,
I am deeply grieved to read about the loss of your dear loved ones, Chase and Cole. Even though I do not know their family personally, I would like to offer my sincere condolences. May you all draw comfort and hope from God’s Word the Bible where he promises that, “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away” (Rev. 21:4). Isn’t it comforting to know our loving Creator will wipe away all things that cause us sadness? His beloved Son also promises that, “All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out” (John 5:28-29). God is “The God of all Comfort”, and he assures you “He is close to all the broken-hearted, and he saves those crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). It is my hope that these promises will give you comfort now, and a real hope for your future. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of sorrow.

We have been heartbroken for your whole family with the loss of these boys. We have enjoyed watching them as they grew at Woodson Bend.

I had the immense pleasure of being Chase’s coach for Lego My Ego. He was innovative, hard-working, humble and a natural leader. He pretty much led our Lego team to victory at the Regional Lego FLL Tournament. It was a proud moment. I must also add that he was very good at Gaga. I will miss him.

Jake:
This is LEGO My Ego here today
And we are going to blow your minds away
We discussed problems about hydrodynamics and electricity
Then we chose our problem without deniability.
It is about a turbine spinning,
Electric generating,
Water and sewage running,
And everybody winning.

Lavanya;
We identified and realized that our energy is decreasing.
Another big problem is the rain run-off is increasing.
Our solution is to apply a turbine to the matter
The flowing sewage and water
Spin the turbine just like a swatter.

Joey:
In our review of existing solutions
We found a few other executions.
First we had slow river turbines
And another turbine for large water lines.
Then another in the ocean as a tidal turbine

Joey:
For our research we visited the Dry Creek Sewage plant.
While the microbial bugs were critical, none of them were ants.
We also hiked to see out existing sewer collection system
It was becoming undersized for its current adaptation
And we saw the negative impacts to the ecosystem
We knew we had to come up with our own system solution

Max:
The solution to this riddle
Isn’t very little
We put our turbine in a manhole
To make electricity without coal
Our solution can be used in many applications
For use in the United States and many other nations.

Chase:
The turbines can be used in multiple application
In storm sewers and sewage sanitation.
It can be used everywhere
And if not the future is nowhere
This invention should be used with high flows
To get the turbine spinning like a fire hose.

Noah:
To test our Idea we built a scale model
We used concrete and wood and water from a bottle
We built the turbine out of LEGO pieces
And attaching it to the manhole using construction adhesive

Jake:
We shared our solution with the sanitation engineer
He felt the solution was interesting, but the application was unclear
We also shared it with Howell construction
He was concerned about debris and other obstructions

We had tons of fun
Now we must be done

I am tremendously sorry for your loss. I wasn’t fortunate enough to know Chase personally, but I have made countless coneys for him since I began working at Skyline. Seeing a familiar face walk through the door, always with a smile, was a refreshing site. He always dined with his best friends or with his family. He was always polite, friendly, and respectful. I had the pleasure of making conversation with him a few times, regretfully taken for granted. My prayers go out to the friends and family of both young boys. I will always think of them when someone eats at the counter. I am endlessly sorry for your loss, they will be watching over you.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing your boys but I want you to know that they have both left a permanent heartache in all those of us from the Lake Cumberland community. My family has had a lake house in Burnside for over 50 years and I can tell you that my family along with countless others have prayed for and been sending love your way from the moment we heard the news. Words completely fail me for this tragedy. I just wanted to assure you that your boy’s legacy will live on with all of us that spend time at LC. May God bring you some degree of peace during this horrible time.
