Peggy Ann Welte, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the Seasons in Alexandria, KY. Peggy was born on July 12, 1942, in Augusta, KY to the late Leslie Hook, Sr. and Mildred Poe.
Peggy was a lifelong parishioner at St. Paul Catholic Church in Florence, KY. She spent a lot of her time volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul in Northern, KY and read her bible religiously. Peggy enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, and working crossword puzzles in her spare time. She was a woman of strong faith who loved her family immensely. She was blessed with two sons, Dave and Chuck whom she adored. Those who knew and loved her will miss her greatly in days to come.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Mildred Hook and her loving husband of 48 years, David Welte.
Those left here to carry on her legacy are her two sons, David Welte, Charles “Chuck” (Amy) Welte; brother, Leslie (Linda) Hook, Jr.; grandchildren, Cody (Mariah) Welte, Demi (Ryan) Waid; great-grandchildren, Frankie Jae Waid, Casen Craig Welte, Ford Oakes Waid, and many nieces and nephews. Peggy also leaves behind the caring staff at The Seasons in Alexandria who so graciously cared for her in her last days.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Linnemann Funeral Home 30 Commonwealth Ave., Erlanger KY 41018. A Service will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY. A reception will follow at the Acree Hall Knights of Columbus in Burlington, KY.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Peggy’s name to St. Vincent de Paul 2655 Crescent Springs Pike, Covington, KY 41017.
