Ann Q. Clark, 90, of Erlanger, Ky., passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Sunday, August 30, 2015. Born 2/1/25, she was the daughter of John Henry Quast and Margaret Dawson. Mrs. Clark is survived by: her son John Dawson (Robin) Clark; grandchildren Dana Katherine and Samuel Baylor Clark. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Arch Clark, MD, her daughter, Katherine Ann Clark, and her sister, Jane Clark. She was a graduate of Center College in Danville, Ky., majoring in chemistry, on an academic scholarship. After graduating from college, Ann worked as a chemist for the Palmolive Company just over the river from Louisville, Ky. As a young woman, she and 3 female friends saved their money, left their jobs and traveled throughout Europe for 6 months shortly after World War II. Ann married the love of her life and lifelong partner, Dr. Arch Baylor Clark, on October 13, 1956 in Louisville, Ky. They were introduced together by Arch’s brother, Don Clark and his wife Anne Clark. For many years of their life together they were active members of the Richmond, Ky. community where Dr. Clark practiced family medicine. After staying home to raise their twins, John and Katherine, Ann worked in her husband’s medical office. Both Ann and Arch were members of the First Presbyterian Church. They traveled around the world together after retiring. Ann was an avid Bridge Club member and also belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution as well as the Mayflower Society. She was much loved and admired by family and friends. Burial will take place in Berea Cemetery.
