KYLE LINNEMANN
Grief Counselor
Kyle Linnemann is available to our families for help after the loss of a loved one.
Do you experience intense sorrow or pain regarding the loss of your loved one? Do you have trouble focusing on anything else but your loved one’s death? Do you focus extremely on reminders of your loved one or excessively avoid reminders of your loved one? Are you intensely longing for your loved one? Do you have difficulty accepting the death, or feel numb or bitter about the loss? Do you feel that life is meaningless? These symptoms are normal responses to the death of a loved one. However, after some time these symptoms typically begin to fade. If these symptoms linger or get worse, or you are having difficulty functioning, you may have a condition called Prolonged Grief Disorder. It may be time to get professional help.
Other signs indicating professional help may be necessary:
- Withdrawing from normal activities
- Significant guilt or self-blame
- Wishing you had died with your loved one
- Depression
- Difficulty carrying out normal routines
If you are experiencing any of these signs or symptoms, Linnemann Funeral Homes would like you to consider seeing Kyle Linnemann, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky and Ohio. Kyle has over 13 years of experience in mental health and specializes in the treatment of Prolonged Grief Disorder. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2002. He received his Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2010 from the University of Cincinnati. Kyle has been working as a therapist for over five years.
