Robert “ Bob” Morehead, 84, of Burlington, KY, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at home following a recent hospitalization and rehabilitation. Robert was a US Army Veteran. He served as the Postmaster of the Hebron Post Office for 30 years. Robert and the Morehead family ran the Morehead Boat Harbor and Restaurant on the Ohio River at Taylorsport, KY for many years. He also owned and was captain of several towboats on the Ohio River. Robert loved the River Life and his family. He lived near the River most of his life. He was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church. His sisters Peggy Humphrey and June Kenyon died previously. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Glenna (Atha) Morehead, of Burlington, KY; his children: Lisa Morehead Snyder (Terry Byrne) of Hebron, KY, Carla Fischer (Ken) of Moores Hill, IN, Susan Jump (Brian) of Burlington, KY, Kevin Morehead (Holly) of Hebron, KY; five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren; and his sister Beth Morehead Keller of Lexington, KY. Following cremation a Memorial Visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday June 12, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with a brief Service at 5:00 PM and refreshments following the service at Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Event Center, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005.
