Richard “Rick” G. Jones

Jess, Dizer, Chris, Colin, Cameron – I knew your Dad since our Buschman days. As a matter of fact, Jess and my daughter, Erin, “worked” one summer at TBC. Also, Erin and Jess were both born at Norton Children’s in Louisville in 1976. His intelligence, sense of humor, love of family and sports made for a good friend. We kept in touch over the years and I enjoyed hearing about both Dizer and Jess as you grew up and established careers. He was so proud of you both, as well as his grandsons. I was back in Cincinnati last June and had lunch with Rick. He was a very brave fighter with love of his family and the upcoming Cards football season giving him much joy. I am so sad for the loss of such a good man, father, and friend. May God bless you and the family in the tough days ahead, and may the memories carry you through. Go Cards! We are sorry to hear about your loss. Sickness has robbed us of our loved ones resulting in their death. May these scriptures bring you all comfort. Isaiah 33:24 promises ,”And no resident will say: “I am sick.” The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error.” When Jesus was on earth he healed the sick and raised the dead. At John 11:25 “Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life.” What a wonderful hope we can look forward to and may God strengthened you in the days ahead.

I met while he worked at Comprehend. It was there I realized that he was huge Louisville fan so it comes as know surprise that we hit it off. Everyone that knew him typically liked him. I know for a fact he took our agency from the internet stone age into the 21st century. He will be truly missed. May God bless and comfort your family as you deal with this tremdous loss of your loved one.

He and his family were a second family to while my mom worked a swing shift. Rick was so funny and laid back. I remember when he ran out of gas after picking me up from basketball practice. He was pissed but yet so cool and calm about it. We laughed all the time together back then. His whole family was just such a pleasure to be around. I can’t believe both he and Pam are gone, however, their dtrs have their same loving and carefree personality . Sorry for your lose Jess and Di, love you both.

I was blessed to have Rick help me get through my masters program. He was always available when my computer crashed, and talked me off a couple ledges while we had a smoke. He spoke of his grandsons with adoration and spoke proudly of his girls. I imagine once he settles in he’ll be yelling “move the data!” In Heaven’s IT dept.

I am so sorry to hear about Rick. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him at Comprehend. As veterans we would stand out back exchanging stories and laughs. He will be so missed. I am so sorry for your families loss. RIP Rick

Rick Jones was a beloved friend of mine and he will be missed. His wit and humor was superior. He was the best at crossword puzzle I had ever seen.
