Condolences

William Clark Slayback, age 63 of Erlanger, formally of Redondo Beach, CA passed away on Wednesday, April 5th at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood.  He was a retired teacher from Beulah Payne Elementary School in Inglewood, CA who graduated from Lloyd Memorial High School, Eastern Kentucky University and UCLA.  He was an avid jogger who enjoyed writing, poetry, and fishing and who “lived for his son and grandson”.  He was the son of the late William Lloyd and Evelyn Osborne Slayback.  He is survived by his son Benjamin Ian (Lisa Knauf) Slayback, grandson Noah William Slayback of Kona, Hawaii, sisters Connie Wright of Erlanger and Pat (Ken) Mullen of Independence, ex-wife Judie Berg of Hawthorne, CA, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.  He was a compassionate person with a big heart.  A celebration of his life will be held on April 15th at Lakemont Community Clubhouse Ashmont Dr. Erlanger, KY 41018 from 2pm until 5pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 4835 South Loop, Edgewood, KY 41017 or Elmcroft Assisted Living, 212 Main St., Florence, KY 41042.  Online condolences may be made at www.linnemannfuneralhomes.com

I’m sorry for your loss. He was my 6th grade teacher at Payne Elementry he was a tough but fair. I will always remember him because of him I was able to see math as something more than numbers. I remember his lessons and try to teach my sons the same way.
Rest In Peace Mr. Slayback this knuckle head will always remember you.

So sorry for your loss…..Bill was a neighbor of mine, he lived on Eastern Ave and I lived on Park….he always had a smile on his face….he will be missed….prayers for his family????????????
