Condolences

Anthony “Tony” Garrett, 54 of Florence, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2023. First and foremost, Tony believed in family. His greatest joy came from being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and son. He loved being a grandfather to his grandson, “Scoot”. Tony was a proud Navy Veteran and continued his service working for the Air Force throughout his career. He also marched in the UK Marching Band where he met his future wife, Tracy. Tony was an active, passionate member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. He also was a talented cook and could make a killer shrimp scampi, BBQ Chicken and Fried Turkey. Tony was a true testament to what it meant to be a loving family man and will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Tony was preceded in death by his nephew: Benjamin Truitt. He is survived by his wife of 28 years: Tracy Garrett, son: AJ Garrett, grandson: Kai Garrett, mother: Yvonne Garrett, brothers: Michael Garrett Jr. and Robert Garrett (Michelle Johnson), brothers-in-laws: Tom (Meredith) Truitt and Tim (Amanda) Truitt, nieces: Katy, Olivia, Kylee and Shelby, nephews: Bryton, Paxton and Caden, aunt: Linda Austin, mother-in-law : Sally Truitt and foster children: Brayden and Madison.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 11:30am at Linnemann Funeral Homes (30 Commonwealth Ave. Erlanger, KY).
