Bethany Ann “Becky” Frost Fritz, 76, of Florence, KY, wife of George F. Fritz, Jr., died January 12, 2023, at her home with her loving husband of 56 years by her side. Becky was a native of Lexington, KY, and the only daughter of the late Cecil C. Frost, Jr., and Loretta Baker Frost.

Becky was a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School, Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing, Louisville, KY, and Thomas More College, Crestview Hills, KY. She retired after a 37-year career in nursing and nurse administration during which she had increasingly responsible positions, including: Director of Nursing at Woodspoint Nursing Home, Florence, KY; Regional Director of American Nursing Care, Cincinnati, OH; and Associate Director of Home Health and Hospice at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood, KY. Becky served as President of the Kentucky Home Health Association from 1993 to 1995, during which she appeared on local television programs and testified before committees of the Kentucky House of Representatives in support of home health and elder care.

Becky was a 48-year member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Florence, KY, where she served as a Cub Scout den leader and a member of the Bereavement Committee.

Becky was a very creative person who loved to knit, do other needlework, and bake for family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she adored. She always supported them in their endeavors and loved nothing more than attending their athletic events. She also loved to spend time at the beach in Florida and travel. She and her husband visited 46 of the US States, including Alaska and Hawaii, and four foreign countries.

In addition to her husband George, Becky is survived by her daughter, Tina Lynn Fritz Namian (Michael), Silver Spring, MD, and her son, George F. “Chip” Fritz, III (Darcy), Morrill, ME. She was a loving “Meme” to her four grandchildren, Samuel G. Namian, Jackson D. Namian, Alexander Fritz, and Olivia W. Fritz. She is also survived by her sister-by-choice, C. Pamela Warren (Luke), Crittenden, KY, and her brothers, Cecil C. Frost, III (Vonda Franz), Rougemont, NC, and John B. Frost (Paulette), Lexington, KY.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2 from 5-7 pm at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 3 at noon in Lexington, KY, at Historic St. Paul Catholic Church, 425 West Short Street, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lexington, KY.
