Bill C. Bailey, age 77, of Burlington, KY, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Monday, January 4, 2016. Bill retired from Gates Rubber Company in 1998 and was an United States Army Veteran. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting camping, gardening, loved watching birds and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife Barbara Bailey (nee Rhodes) of Burlington; a daughter Brenda (Gary) Smiley of Burlington, a son Bill (Valorie) Bailey, Jr. of Walton; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and a sister Nancy Bailey of Fairmont, W.VA. Visitation will be Thursday January 7, 2016, 12noon until 2pm at Linnemann Funeral Home and Event Center, Burlington. A service will follow at 2pm. Interment will be in Burlington Cemetery. The family suggests that memorials be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
