Charles Wallace “Pete” Foster, 93, passed away on August 17, 2021 at Elmcroft Senior Living in Florence, KY. Pete was born in Erlanger, KY and graduated from Lloyd High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army as a weather observer, stationed in Japan. After leaving the service, he married Betty Herrick and began working for Cincinnati Gas & Electric as a meter technician. He retired after a 35-year career. Pete and Betty spent their retirement years traveling, cruising, and partying with their many friends and extended family. He was a charter member of the Erlanger Church of Christ, a Scoutmaster, and sports lover (especially fishing and baseball). Pete played semi-pro baseball where he was known for his side-arm throw from short to first base. He loved his beagle dogs, all things outdoors, and using his quick sense of humor. Most of all, he loved people, especially kids, and brought out the best in them. He is survived by his son, Stephen Foster, sister-in-law Helen Foster, several nieces, nephews, close friends Jeff and Jeannie Cox, extended family, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty, younger brothers Edward C. Foster and Raymond L. Foster, his mother, Marie McKenzie and father Cunningham Foster. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Erlanger KY with funeral services to be held on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021 at 10am at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Highland cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY with Military honors to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Erlanger Church of Christ, 458 Graves Ave. Erlanger, KY 41018.
