Most of him

I didn’t see him as a mortal human.
Once upon a time we laid flat on the floor -on a wood deck. We pressed the tops of our heads together so our toes were pointed out like this. Mine South and his North (each with one ear toward the water). It felt like part of my own mind grew. And it was the best part. Whatever part makes you feel safer, stronger, and incredible or hilarious. It (those feelings) would always happen (talking with him awhile looking into anything). He’s always been a supernatural part of the gods’ trick to keep us here able to survive. I saw him as one of or part of the gods. More than a brother or a person. I have to believe he’s wrapped up tightly inside those who loved him best. He’s doing what he does. You’ll feel stronger and safer the longer he’s there, about to say something incredible or hilarious. Remember (how he moved). His best parts weren’t bound up under skin and blood. They got out and into you and people all around us.

Taylor Brown

Never in a million years did I think I would be re-living this news 5 years later as I reflect on the Brown Family. Taylor Brown was called into the arms of our Lord yesterday. Just like what I said about his mom, Sheila; he was a gem just like his mom, a rare find but a special person whom I felt honored to know as a great friend, and a brother to Katie Brown Ryan Brown Jordan Brown Nick Brown and son to Harry M Brown. The biggest teddy bear around and would do just about anything for anyone. To know him for 25 years as a wonderful human being. My heart is hurting but it gives me comfort knowing that he will be with Sheila giving her hugs and watching over all of us. Gone but never forgotten, fly high Taylor.
