Dallas R. Trinkle, Jr., born on June 7, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio, died peacefully in Lexington, Kentucky on Thursday March 1, 2018, following a prolonged illness. He was 72 years old. He is preceded by Dallas R. Trinkle, Sr. (deceased) and Wanda Trinkle, and is the oldest of Wanda Trinkle’s six children: Stanford, Deborah, Daniel, Carlton, and Elizabeth. Dallas is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gail A. Trinkle, his son Dallas R. Trinkle, III and wife Devon W. Hague, daughter Christine A. Trinkle and husband Jonathan Wenk, and grandson Dallas Jacobi Trinkle-Hague. Dallas and Gail were married on January 22, 1971 at All Saints Church in Montgomery, Ohio, after meeting as students at Xavier University. They lived most of their adult lives in Hebron, Kentucky, and together ran Acramold Engineering, Inc. until the fall of 2017. Dallas was an active member of the business community in northern Kentucky and worked with several local groups that focused on education. He was very enthusiastic about making sure students were prepared for the real world at whatever level they completed their education. Dallas taught tool room skills and marketing at Gateway Community College and was part of their advisory committee. He volunteered with the Boone County school system to work with students on robotics competitions. Dallas enjoyed spending time with his family, and was well-respected for his knowledge and his willingness to share it with younger generations.
