David J. Wyrabkiewicz, 67, of Walton, KY, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY surrounded by his loving family. David was born in Detroit, MI on December 6, 1953 to the late Leon and Lucille (Bombalski) Wyrabkiewicz. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his sister Estelle Wyrabkiewicz. David is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Donna (Backstrom) Wyrabkiewicz, his wonderful children Lisa Parsons (Matthew) and Greg Wyrabkiewicz (Leah), and beautiful grandchildren Corey, Tyler, Tristan, Peighton, Lucy, and Landen all of whom he loved and adored, and dear siblings Lennard Wyrabkiewicz and Madeline Urich (Matthew).
David began his career in the printing business and later in life transitioned to the heath club industry where he ultimately retired from Fit Works Health Club. He continued to work a part time job to keep himself busy. Dave enjoyed all types of sports. He played baseball and basketball in high school and softball throughout his 20s. He then moved on to his passion, golf which he played multiple times a week in his retirement. He enjoyed watching all types of sports on TV but his favorite teams were from Detroit, especially the Detroit Red Wings.
Dave had a passion for life and wanted to share his enthusiasm with others. He and his wife enjoyed fashion and always looked their best when going out. He also loved his cars and he kept them spotless and shiny. Dave was an excellent cook and loved to gather his children and grandchildren for a good meal. When he wasn’t cooking he liked to go out and enjoy a good meal with his wife and family. Dave also loved music and it wasn’t uncommon for him to crank up the volume and do a little singing and dancing. Throughout his life, Dave and his wife enjoyed going to see live concerts. The past few years, Dave and his wife were able to travel around the US seeing the sites, enjoying the local food and doing a little golfing of course.
Dave loved all his family but what brought the greatest joy to Dave’s life was his children and grandchildren. He was so proud of them and enjoyed sharing their accomplishments with others. Dave’s love for life was undeniable and he definitely lived life to the fullest. Dave will be missed by all who new him, but he will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
