Eleanor “Ellie” B. Steffen, 69 of Ft. Thomas, KY, entered into eternal life on Saturday, April 30, 2016. Mrs. Steffen was a homemaker, business owner and long time member of St. Thomas Church in Ft. Thomas, KY. She was a volunteer at St. Thomas School as a dishwasher, organized and ran the volleyball program for 10 plus years and the Steffen family built a pre-school where they donated all construction cost. Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Wayne M. Steffen of Ft. Thomas, KY, daughters, Carrie Lichtenberg and Nancy Lindle both of Ft. Thomas, KY, sisters, Mary Winn Meister, Nancy Atchley, Kathy Wilson, brothers, Jay and John Brewer. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Brandon, Emma and Ava. Visitation will be held at St. Thomas Church, Ft. Thomas, KY on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 9:30am to 11:00am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial of ashes will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery, Ft. Thomas, KY. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Thomas School, 428 S. Ft. Thomas Ave., Ft. Thomas, KY 41075.
