Evelyn Noland, 82, passed away Sunday December 11, 2016 at Florence Park Care Center in Florence, KY. She taught children and adults to ride and care for horses, Evelyn owned, trained, and raced Thoroughbred horses and won numerous national awards for equestrian (Reserve National Champions 1985, Canadian National Championship Arabian Horse show in Toronto, 1st Level Dressage in Toronto, the high % trophy 3 times at the Buckeye Sweepstakes Arabian Horse Show in Columbus, OH), and she was even invited to ride in the Pegasus parade in Louisville, KY. In addition, she spent time in Paris, France teaching English to French students. Lastly, Evelyn was devoted her church, Taylor Mill Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was very active as a leader in Pathfinders and served on the school board of Taylor Mill Christian Academy, where she volunteered often. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Elizabeth Richards; her siblings, Myrtle, Emmagene, Jessamine, and Esther; and her husband of 26 years, Keylor Noland. Survivors include her brother, Addison Richards; her nieces, Terri West Saelee and Esther Lair; and her nephew, Bill West III. Also surviving are her great-nieces and nephews: Jeffrey, Janessa, Kayla, Ligaya, Liam, Lisette, and Chris. A memorial service will be held on January 21, 2017, at 5:00PM at Taylor Mill Seventh-day Adventist Church 5235 Taylor Mill Rd. Taylor Mill, KY 41015. Memorials can be made to the church.
