Gregory Gerard O’Neil, of Independence, KY passed away on Saturday January 12, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood, KY at the age of 57. Mr. O’Neil was a self employed Chemist and was a devoted father. He loved to make people laugh and was a master at it. Mr. O’Neil is survived by his loving son; Michael (Michelle) O’Neil of Lexington, KY, daughter; Lindsay O’Neil of Independence, KY, sisters; Cathleen Everett of NJ, Joan Ferris of MO and Laurann O’Neil of Washington, DC. He also leaves behind his loving former wife; Billie Jean O’Neil and sister-in-law; Susan Smith both of Erlanger, KY. Visitation for Mr. O’Neil will be on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Linnemann Funeral Home Erlanger. A second visitation will be on Monday from 10:00am to 11:30am with funeral services to follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, due to Greg’s untimely passing, his inability to work due to his illness and treatments, and significant medical bills, please consider making a contribution to the Gregory G. O’Neil Trust c/o 5/3 bank, 9477 Kenwood Rd. Cincinnati, OH 45242, which was established to provide for Lindsay O’Neil’s education and defray funeral expenses.
