JoAnn Guilfoile Ruehl of Erlanger, died on April 24, 2016 in Florence, KY at the age of 77. She was born on October 16, 1938 in Southgate, KY to Joseph and Irene Guilfoile. She grew up in a loving family with one sister and one brother. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1956. Jo Ann married James Ruehl on January 31, 1959. Shortly after marriage, they moved to Erlanger, KY, where they raised their three children. Jo Ann spent over 30 years in retail at the J.C. Penny Company. She was always dedicated to making those around her better. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Nancy Grosser, and her brother, William R. Guilfoile. Jo Ann is survived by her husband, James Ruehl and son Jeff of Erlanger; daughters Lori Nurre of Ft. Wright, Pam Kool of Mason, Ohio as well as 12 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at St. Henry Catholic Church 3813 Dixie Highway Erlanger, Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in Wehage hall all are welcome to attend and celebrate Jo Ann’s life.
