Julia Schnorbus (nee Gainey), 89, of Fort Wright, KY passed away June 22, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Julia was the eldest lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington, KY. Julia was born on August 15, 1922 and graduated from Holmes High School in 1940. Julia was a loving person who enjoyed giving back to the community and volunteering. She most recently enjoyed playing bridge and socializing at her home at Highland Crossing in Fort Wright. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years Leo Schnorbus, and her brother Tom Gainey. She is survived by her sons Craig Schnorbus and his wife Nicole of Villa Hills, KY; and Doug Schnorbus and his wife Maleia of Mesa, AZ; and her grandchildren; Myles, Anna, Spencer, and Calvin Schnorbus of Mesa, AZ. An evening visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 5 until 7pm at Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington, KY. A service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 10am also at Trinity Episcopal Church in Covington, KY with burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Covington, KY.
