Julius “John” Edward Ramler, 90, of Hebron, KY, beloved husband to Carolyn for 64 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. John was a lifelong farmer and loved camping and fishing trips with his friends and family. He also enjoyed playing poker, pinochle and euchre. John was a proud veteran who served in the Army, stationed in Nuremberg, Germany, during the Korean War. John returned home and worked as a union member of Bricklayers Local 18 until retirement and then enjoyed working for Avis Car Rentals at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport.
John was preceded in death by his parents, George and Iva Ramler; his siblings, Clarence Ramler, Martha Anderson, and Marjorie Seever; and his two infant children, Kimetha and Anthony Ramler.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Ramler (nee Goodridge); their children, Julie (Don) Hemmer and Gordon (Leia) Ramler; and his sister, Helen (Jack) Payne.
John will be greatly missed by his grandchildren; Matthew (Lindsey) Hemmer, Amanda (Matthew Morgan) Hemmer, Christina (Matthew) Kokrak, Heather Hemmer, Joseph Hemmer, and Scott List-Ramler; and his great-grandchildren; Elly, Avery, Teddy and Beau. He will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews who always referred to him as their favorite Uncle John.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
