Captain Kenneth Stephen Dalga, 29, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 during a military training flight in Clovis, New Mexico. He served as a Combat Systems Officer in the United States Air Force and he was a member of the 318th Special Operations Squadron at Cannon Air Force Base. Kenny grew up in Union, KY and was a member of the Mu Iota chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity at the University of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Edward Dalga, and his father, Stephen Dalga. Kenny is survived by his loving wife Sarah Segers Dalga of Louisville, KY; his son, Noah Stephen Dalga; his mother, Tracey Dalga; his brother, Nolan Dalga; his paternal grandmother, Florence Dalga; his maternal grandparents, Ken and Judy Dearwester; and his parents-in-law, Patrick and Janet Segers. Visitation will be on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 10AM-2:00PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00PM at the funeral home. We are at a loss for words…. From the time Kenny and family moved to the neighborhood in North Carolina, there was new energy in the subdivision! Kenny was such a great friend to Matt… from basketball, to Group prom dates, even the crazy day of hair coloring! There was always laughter when Kenny was around. Such a loss for so many… our deepest condolences to all….The Weyenbergs.
Condolences
Kenny and I attended Officer Training School together. He was an excellent man, and good friend and flightmate. I cannot express how sorry I am to see of his passing, and my prayers are with his family, and his wife and son. As requested, in lieu of flowers, a donation was made to the Wounded Warriors Project, which is a great way to honor him and his service, and I’m glad that that request was made. My heartfelt condolences to you all.

Kenny was a friend and UK fraternity brother of our son, Andrew Schneider. We met Kenny on several occasions as he spent time in our home and went with us to Cincinnati Reds and Dayton Flyer men’s basketball games. We have fond memories of Kenny. He was a quiet and friendly young man and we are so sorry for this tremendous loss to your family. We thank him for his service to our nation and for the ultimate sacrifice any serviceman can make.
