Marvin Newbolt, 92, passed away on December 19, 2015 after a courageous battle Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky. His daughter, Denise, was by his side. He retired from O.M.U. as a meter reader. He walked and biked the neighborhoods and streets of Owensboro, a place he loved. Marvin was a gifted wood artist and tomato-raiser. He was an ardent analyst of the Cincinnati Reds, and the U.K., Western, and Kentucky Wesleyan basketball teams. Woodland United Methodist Church, located at 1120 Woodland Ave., will host a memorial service on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. Condolences should be sent to the children’s charity, The Goodfellows Club:
