UNION- Mildred Rice, 87, passed away peacefully Thursday January 24th at her
residence in Union. She was a professional mom greatest ever. Survivors include her
husband James Rice Jr., children Joyce Eads, James Rice III, Sara Isaacs, Jenny Rice,
Jack Rice, Joe Rice, Junetta Weltzer, Jeanne Swikert, Jill Jordan, Jamie Rudolph, and
Jerry Rice. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great
great grandchild. Visitation will be held Tuesday January 29th 4pm to 7pm with Mass
of Christian Burial to follow at St Henry Church in Elsmere. Mausoleum entombment
will be held at St Mary Cemetery in Ft Mitchell. Memorials may be made to St Joseph’s
Indian School 1301 N. Main Street Chamberlain SD 57325 or Wounded Warriors Project
