My First/Best Art Director

Pat was my first art director upon entering the sign business back in 1987. I had answered an ad to “Learn the ancient oriental art of silk screening”!!
I thought it was oddly funny at the time, but at the interview Pat looked through every piece of art in my portfolio and said, “I think I need you in the art department”. I only worked with Pat for a short time, as he moved on to Dualite shortly after hiring me. I spoke with him a little after that, and his comment was, “I think I’m in Heaven, I do what I want, and am free to experiment with new methods of creating”. He was so easygoing and helpful. I just wish I could have spent more time under his direction. 34 years later, I’m still in the business. His words of encouragement to me were “BE BOLD”. Thanks Pat
