Tributes
Richard H. Williamson, 78, of Florence, KY died peacefully at his home Monday morning. Richard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is predeceased by his parents, Anna Belle and Cecil Williamson, and siblings, Cecil, Raymond, Juanita, and Ronald.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Michol Williamson of Florence, KY; son Steven (Cindy) Williamson of Florence, KY and daughter Theresa Williamson of Erlanger, KY; 5 grandchildren Meagan, William, Brooke, Dylan, and Dalton; 2 great grandchildren Alexis and Jayden; and brother Kenneth (JoAnn) of Villa Hills. He has numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Richard retired from R.A. Jones in Erlanger, KY after a 35 yr successful career as an engineer. He was a devout Christian and member of the First Church of Christ faith community in Burlington, KY. But most of all, Rich was family man with a wicked sense of humor, a quiet charm, and a love for animals beyond all things. His beloved therapy dog Shelby passed month before him. He built a beautiful life with his wife and two children that was cut short by Alzheimer’s disease and congestive heart failure. He will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 9:00 AM until 10: 30 AM with funeral services immediately following all taking place at First Church of Christ 6080 Camp Ernst Rd. Burlington, KY 41005. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY
