Ruth May Kessen nee Klanke, 92, died March 7, 2016 at Baptist Village Care Center in Erlanger. Ruth was a clerk for the IRS for 40 years and was an avid fan of traveling and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Kessen; her grandchildren, Michelle and Kade Kessen; and her great-granddaughter, Tiffany Paige Wells. Survivors include her children: Martin Kessen of Florida, Paul Kessen of Burlington, Dennis Kessen of Florence, and Ruth Lyons Portwood of Elsmere; and her brother, George “Bud” Klanke of Milford. She also leaves behind her 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday March 14, 2016 from 11:30AM-1:30PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 1:30PM at the funeral home. Mausoleum Entombment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
