Serena Rose Marie Priest, of Independence, KY.
Dropped down as a gift from Heaven, our 7 year-old angel Serena flew back to God on Sunday, July 30, 2017, surrounded by loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her Grandma, Alva Priest, and shortly followed by Pawpaw, Ken Rogers. She is survived by her parents Joe and Juliet Priest; sister Amelia Priest; Grandpa Larry Priest, and Mawmaw Trudy Rogers; Aunts Sr. Mary Bernadette, Sr. Mary Agnes, Jenny Becknell (Matt), Joy Rogers, Angie Kuhl, and Sheila Moore (Bryan); Uncles John Rogers (Kristen) and Kevin Rogers (Elise); 22 cousins and many other loving family members and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017, from 4pm until 8pm at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY. Mass of the Angels will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at 8am at Immaculate Conception Church in Norwood, OH. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford, OH. God never gives us more than we can handle without a way out. There is so much sadness yet joy in knowing Ken didn’t want to be alone and Serena would walk her Pawpaw into eternity with God.
I remember her “laughing” video and just how much she has touched my life and everyone who met her. This “Sunshine” will me greatly missed.
