Shannan Rhea Archer, 43, of Hebron, KY passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022. She was born April 27, 1978 in Augsburg, Germany in a U.S Army Hospital. Shannan was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend and her best memories were made with those she loved. She liked photography and taking family photos, but her favorite times were when she would stay in and be with her family. Shannan is survived by her loving husband, Jonathan Archer, her beloved son, Preston Archer, her father, Dave Wheaton and her step mother, Barbara Wheaton, her mother, Jeri Stracner and her step father, Michael Stracner, and her siblings: Brandy (Jeff) Jolly, Mallory Wheaton, and Kellen Wheaton. A celebration of Shannan’s life will be held on Monday, February 21 from 11AM until 1 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Her cremains will be buried at Burlington Cemetery immediately following the celebration of life service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, TX 75380.

Remembering an incredible artist and friend
Shannan was an incredibly generous and warm person. She was admired and respected by all who knew her. She contributed immeasurably to the outreach efforts of DAV (Disabled American Veterans). She always went above and beyond the call of duty and her feedback and counsel were valued universally. She was detail-oriented and capable of directing and producing incredible work. Her service on behalf of veterans was fueled in large part by her family’s deep and extended roots in military service. She treated her work like it was a mission and oversaw a significant and extremely impactful rebranding effort. Her career legacy will live on in the people she taught and way she elevated our charity. Beyond that, she was loved. She was a delightful person who faced the challenges of her work with a signature grace that improved the spirit of the entire team. Where some would see problems she found solutions and was willing to share her talent, vision and unsurpassed knowledge in her field with a constant selflessness. She was a trusted and beloved team member who everyone considered a friend in equal or greater measure than a colleague. She was a leader and will remain revered by us all. Her courage in battling her illness was inspiring, in spite of the sincerely tradgedy of the loss. She was, foremost, a wonderful mother and wife and our thoughts and prayers are with J.D., Preston, Shannan’s family and all who loved and benefited from her life and thoughtfulness.
