Tributes
Stephen Wayne Wolfzorn, 66, of Erlanger, KY passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at his residence in Erlanger, KY. He was born June 1, 1957 in Fort Thomas, KY.
Stephen was destined for a life of service and he proudly served as a Trooper for the Kentucky State Police. He was a proud member of the K.S.P, the K.S.P.P.A, the Catholic Order of Foresters and he was a Kentucky Colonel. Stephen loved working for the K.S.P and after retiring; he served as a Court Security Inspector. His dedicated service to the state of Kentucky allowed him the opportunity to meet some pretty amazing people, including former U.S. Presidents, and even Mother Theresa.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Elmer and Angela Wolfzorn, and his stepson, Kevin Draughn. Stephen is survived by his beloved siblings: Nancy Leftin (Bud), Cheryl Wolfzorn, and David Wolfzorn (Ann), his loving nephews: Adam Duran-Leftin (Antonio), Andrew Leftin (Catherine), and Christopher Wolfzorn, his loving niece: Freya Wolfzorn, his stepson: Jason Draughn, his daughter-in-law: Michele Draughn, and his cherished grandchildren: Tyler, Chloe, and Emily Draughn.
A visitation will be held for Stephen on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at Linnemann Funeral Home, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. A service will be held immediately following at 5:00pm at the Funeral Home. A reception will be held following the service from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Linnemann Event Center. Following the services, Stephen will be cremated and his ashes will be buried with his parents at St. Stephen Cemetery in Fort Thomas in private at the convenience of his family.
