Thomas Perry Otto, parishioner, St. Henry Church, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2015. He was born August 12, 1929 and was the son of Fred and Dorothy Otto. Tom was born in Covington, KY and was raised in Fort Thomas and graduated from Highlands High School where he excelled in academics and athletics. Tom attended the University of Cincinnati and also became a member of the National Army Reserve.Tom joined the family business of Otto Printing, Co., in Newport, KY and also became a member of the semi-pro baseball team, The Cincinnati Printers. Tom married Rae Jo Ann (Ralenkotter) Otto in 1952. He began volunteering as Athletic Booster President for St. Henry High School (1960-1973) and Lloyd Memorial High School Booster President (1974-1979).Tom and Rae Jo sponsored several successful “Otto Printing” Kenton County Knothole Baseball Teams throughout the early 1970’s winning two greater Cincinnati championship titles. Tom was also a successful coach, coaching his son and grandsons as well as a myriad of athletes for seven decades. Tom was a proud member of the Northern KY Sports Hall of Fame, as well as the Greater Cincinnati Knothole Hall of Fame.Tom leaves behind wife of sixty-three years, Rae Jo Ann (Ralenkotter) Otto; son, Marc Thomas Otto, Sr., (Nancy Bilz Otto), Grandsons, Marc Thomas Otto, Jr., (Alyssa Montessi Otto); Jonathan Ross Otto; Great-grandaughter Leighton Rose Otto; Brother, Ronald Otto and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins from the Otto, Ralenkotter and Felthaus families. Visitation will be held Monday December 28th, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday December 29th, 2015 at 10am at St Henry Church in Elsmere. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger.
